Sweden’s imagi targets US K-12 expansion after closing $4.5M seed round

Stockholm- and New York-based imagi has secured $4.5 million in seed funding to expand its AI literacy platform for K-12 schools, bringing its total funding to $5.5 million. The round was co-led by Brighteye Ventures and Day One Capital, with participation from FemInvest, We Are Human, and a broad syndicate of angel investors including Will.i.am, Thomas Dohmke, Mati Staniszewski, Fredrik Hjelm, Sophia Amoruso, and Simon Squibb, alongside backing from Morgan Stanley and Sparkmind Capital. imagi provides schools with a safe, curriculum-aligned layer for deploying AI tools in classrooms through partnerships with OpenAI and Lovable, enabling supervised access for students and teachers.
