How can a young, fit athlete get a pulmonary embolism (PE)? What are the symptoms? Can you fly with a clot? Could it have been picked up earlier? All perfectly sensible questions, especially for a young athlete, who faces far more scrutiny than an ordinary patient would. Within the hour,  the story was all over TV station websites. .
