Danish startup secures €2.9 million pre-seed to automate invoice checks and prevent duplicate payments

Copenhagen-based startup Plinto has raised €2.9 million in pre-seed funding from People Ventures, Emblem and a group of business angels to develop its AI-powered financial controlling platform. Founded in 2025, the company builds AI agents that integrate with businesses’ existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, documents, banking tools and communication platforms to check invoices, orders and payments against contracts, budgets and internal policies. When discrepancies are detected, the agents investigate the underlying evidence and help coordinate corrective actions.
