Stockholm-based fintech startup Matters has emerged from stealth with a $5 million pre-seed round anchored by Swedish angel investor Jakob Johansson, alongside investors including former Klarna COO Knut Frängsmyr, Voi co-founder Douglas Stark, Röko CEO Johan Bladh, Validio CEO Patrik Tran and Evoke CEO Per Widerström. The company is developing an AI-powered personal finance platform that combines neobank services with an AI advisor to help users manage spending, increase savings and work towards financial goals.
