The RAF has used a satellite jammer to stop hostile states tracking British special forces and nuclear submarines, it has emerged. The "world-leading" ground-based system has been used by Britain's armed forces for around a year, senior defence sources revealed last night. It is understood that the state-of-the-art jammer blocks adversarial satellites from sending data to the ground by dazzling them and is believed to have successfully protected military bases from spying threats.
