Microsoft and AWS build the multicloud bridge they said customers barely needed

Microsoft has unveiled a service for privately linking Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), overcoming multicloud barriers the providers previously claimed barely existed. The Redmond biz says it is working with AWS on a solution that combines Azure Multicloud Interconnect with AWS Interconnect – multicloud, allowing customers to establish private, high-speed links between infrastructure running on the two platforms. But Azure Multicloud Interconnect is currently in preview, and feature availability, performance targets, and timelines may evolve as the service moves toward general availability, the firm said.
