ICEYE is partnering with The Water Institute to combine satellite-based flood observations with predictive flood modeling for governments, insurers and emergency management organizations in the US. ICEYE operates a large synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite constellation and provides flood mapping and impact data, while The Water Institute developed FloodID, a platform that uses hydrologic models, AI, Earth observation data and cloud computing to forecast how floods may develop over time.
