Estonia’s ÄIO and TFTAK receive €1.94 million for precision fermentation project

Estonian biotech company ÄIO and research organisation TFTAK have received €1.94 million from the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency’s (EIS) Applied Research Programme for a three-year R&D project focused on microbial oil production. ÄIO develops fermentation-based oils and fats for potential use in areas including food and cosmetics, while TFTAK contributes expertise in synthetic biology, bioprocess development and food research.
