Microsoft finally patches the LegacyHive Windows zero-day

Microsoft has patched the LegacyHive Windows zero-day after its July disclosure left fully updated systems exposed; earlier coverage reported that the public proof of concept could let a local non-admin user hijack another account’s registry hive. The August update assigns the flaw CVE-2026-62832 and blocks the privilege-escalation path. Source
