Microsoft: FruitStone gives Midnight Blizzard a control panel for hotel Wi-Fi attacks

Microsoft has uncovered FruitStone, a web-based control panel used to manage the CaptiveCrunch campaign attributed to Midnight Blizzard. The operation hijacks hotel and other captive-portal networks to target travelers with CornFlake and ChocoShell malware, or with device-code phishing that can steal Microsoft 365 access without infecting the victim’s device.
