Student police officer charged with rape, kidnap and strangulation plus three more offences

A student police officer with Greater Manchester Police has been charged with rape, kidnap, strangulation and three more offences.Mohammad Hassan, 23, was charged late on Monday night after being arrested on Saturday evening following a police chase on the M62.GMP said the force had received a 999 call that evening "where a woman could be heard in distress in a vehicle".Mr Hassan, whom GMP noted was of Asian-Pakistani ethnicity, was off-duty at the time and driving his own car when he was arrested in West Yorkshire.
