Norway’s Alva Industries lands €16 million to bring lightweight electric motors to global markets

Trondheim-based deeptech company Alva Industries has raised €16 million in an equity financing round led by Nysnø Climate Investments, Sandwater and Emerald Technology Ventures on behalf of Nabtesco Technology Ventures, with existing investors including Statkraft Ventures and EnvisionTech also participating. Samsung Ventures’ December 2025 investment has been converted into shares as part of the round. Alva Industries develops ultra-compact, high-performance electric motors using its patented FiberPrinting manufacturing technology, which enables lightweight, thin, high-torque and cogging-free motors for applications spanning robotics, aerospace, medical devices, defense and industrial automation.
