Should children be allowed at drag shows? Florida doesn’t think so, and a federal appeals court now agrees. Florida just scored a legal win after the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the state’s ban on minors attending sexually explicit live performances, including drag shows, is constitutional. In an 8–5 decision, the court overturned a lower court ruling that had blocked the law from taking effect. The lawsuit was brought by Hamburger Mary’s, a restaurant chain known for its drag performances, including what it described as “family-friendly” drag brunches.
