Windows 11 26H2 will turn on cloud backup and restore by default

Windows 11 26H2 is expected to roll out in October 2026 with two important default changes: Windows settings backup and restore, and Point-in-time restore. Administrators should review backup policies and storage allocations before the enablement package reaches eligible PCs. Source
