We are still drifting along in this “short-term pain for long-term gain” narrative arc.  Remember when they told us it would just be a few days, maybe a few weeks? Well, we’re cruising past month five now, and the script is getting so loud it’s a miracle anyone is still falling for it. Just look at the timing.
