Drought extended across whole of Wales as Britain grapples with 'exceptionally high' temperatures

A drought has been extended over the whole of Wales as Britain continues to grapple with "exceptionally high" temperatures.Environment body Natural Resources Wales (NRW) said sustained high temperatures were causing the natural environment to "deteriorate".The region is due to experience its driest July in almost two centuries.Rhian Thomas, Sustainable Water and Nature Manager at NRW, said: "The intensity of the heat and the exceptional lack of rainfall means this is a rapidly changing picture in Wales.
