Iceland’s Sowilo secures pre-seed backing to expand AI fashion product platform Catecut

Reykjavik-based fashion technology startup Sowilo has raised a pre-seed funding round to support the global rollout of its AI-powered product intelligence platform, Catecut, alongside the launch of its Shopify app. The round attracted backing from Iceland’s Kría fund, Netherlands- and India-based TGC Capital, as well as angel investors from Iceland and Australia. Catecut uses proprietary AI to analyse fashion product images and automatically generate product titles, descriptions, metadata, tags, and SEO-friendly content for online retailers, helping automate product page creation and updates across e-commerce stores.
