Tampere-based HappyOrNot has appointed Tim Waterton as CEO, succeeding Miika Mäkitalo after five years in the role. Waterton joined the customer feedback technology company as Chief Revenue Officer in 2021 and has since overseen its commercial strategy and product development initiatives. He has more than 30 years of experience in enterprise software, having co-founded Simulus, which was later acquired by BMC Software, and held senior positions at M-Files, RainStor, the London Stock Exchange, and Accenture. HappyOrNot, known for its Smiley-based feedback terminals, has increasingly expanded its focus to AI-supported analysis of customer and employee feedback collected through its platform.
