Cornea Sense, an Aalto University spinout developing ophthalmic diagnostics, has secured more than €1.1 million in pre-seed funding from Innovestor Angel CoFund, angel investors including eye surgeon Matts Linder and Patrick Aisher, together with a Business Finland R&D grant. Founded in 2026, the Espoo-based medtech combines terahertz sensing with optical coherence tomography (OCT) to enable objective, non-invasive measurement of corneal hydration—a clinically important parameter that currently lacks a practical direct measurement method.
