I turned on Google Home's camera automation and ditched my motion sensors

The novelty of smart home automation wore off pretty quickly once the upkeep kicked in. It never fails, some random weekend alert pops up about a dead battery, and suddenly I’m hunting around for a tiny motion sensor that takes some oddly specific replacement I don’t have on hand.
